Job Summary

The Fraud Strategy Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in developing and implementing fraud strategies to mitigate risk exposure. By analyzing trends and conducting detailed data reviews, the analyst provides recommendations to reduce fraud loss. Collaborating with various business units, the analyst contributes to a collective effort to safeguard against fraudulent activities.


Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies to mitigate risks and enhance detection capabilities. Continuously evaluate and refine strategies based on emerging threats and industry best practices. Utilize data analytics and machine learning models to identify and predict fraudulent activities. Collaborate with IT and data science teams to integrate advanced detection tools and technologies. - (30%)
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on fraud findings and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. Ensure reports are clear, actionable, and tailored to the audience’s needs. Use data visualization tools to enhance the clarity and impact. - (20%)
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate fraud prevention measures into business processes and systems. Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners to enhance fraud detection and prevention efforts. - (20%)
  • Represent Fraud Strategy as a key stakeholder in projects, providing critical input; serve as a Fraud Subject Matter Expert in enterprise initiatives to ensure fraud risk interests are identified; participate in cross-functional meetings with business leaders; provide context on root causes and emerging threats with solutions; and be part of the on-call fraud incident management team. - (15%)
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for assigned controls, managing solutions with significant independence and advising on key decisions beyond that scope. Act as the primary liaison with third-party vendor partners to continuously improve and enhance assigned solutions. - (15%)


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years experience in fraud, risk, credit card, finance, banking, or related
  • 5+ years experience with SQL, SAS or similar data mining tools


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field
  • 5+ years experience in the credit card, finance, banking, industries, or related
  • 5+ years experience gathering and analyzing financial data

Work Environment

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$97,900.00 - $177,400.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $112,600.00 - $221,800.00 Colorado: $97,900.00 - $186,300.00 New York: $107,700.00 - $221,800.00 Washington: $102,800.00 - $204,000.00 Maryland: $102,800.00 - $195,200.00 Washington DC: $112,600.00 - $204,000.00 Illinois: $97,900.00 - $195,200.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
