Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center is one of the largest community health centers in Massachusetts serving Worcester, Framingham, Milford and the surrounding communities.  We are a thriving and growing organization, and our team is expanding across sites to support this growth.

We are currently hiring a Courier based in Worcester.  Using a company-provided vehicle, the courier delivers mail, messages, documents, packages, and other items between Kennedy Community Health sites daily and to different external locations as requested. The courier also performs administrative tasks as assigned by the manager and ensures compliance with the applicable laws, organizational policies, procedures, and workflows .

Job Summary:

• Process, pick up, and deliver incoming, inter-office, and outgoing mail from the post office box and Kennedy CHC sites using a determined route and schedule.
• Process daily check receipts and tracking.
• Follow all state laws and regulations when operating a motor vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.
• Collect messages, documents, packages, and other items between offices or departments as communicated via email, telephone, or in person.
• Ensure items/packages/bins are loaded into the vehicle correctly.
• Unload and sort items collected along the delivery route.
• Log receipt and delivery of the public vaccines.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage and gas purchases.  Working with the Facilities Department, ensure appropriate and timely maintenance of courier vehicles.
• Assist in transporting materials for company events.
• Pick up money from sites, bring it to the Administration to track, and bank deposit
• Perform administrative tasks compliant with processes, workflows, policies, and procedures.
• When applicable, cover the front desk duties.
• When applicable, perform maintenance duties as directed by the manager.
• Train designated employees to cover during planned and unplanned absences.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Valid MA Driver's License with no violations
• Proof of personal car insurance
• Frequently driving, sitting, standing, and walking during the day.
• Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.
